Key Ingredients
Water
In Japanese culture, water has long been deeply connected to beauty, as symbolized by hot springs. With this in mind, we place great importance on the water we use. The water that forms the base of our Clear Gel Cleanse is produced using a patented process (Patent No. 2001-156837) that makes it possible to reduce the use of surfactants to an absolute minimum. Highly compatible with the skin, it helps lift away makeup while minimizing irritation, allowing for effective cleansing. The water used in our Refining Mist is a high-quality natural spring water sourced from deep in the mountains of Japan, emerging from mystical natural mineral formations. Rich in balanced minerals, it helps deliver hydration and vitality to the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and revitalized.
Hibiscus Leaf Extract
In Japan, this ingredient has long been valued for its beauty benefits and is sometimes referred to as “plant-based hyaluronic acid.” It is known for its strong moisturizing and antioxidant properties, and is also believed to help minimize the effects of UV exposure on the skin.
Yuzu Fruit Extract
In traditional Eastern medicine, yuzu has long been used for a variety of purposes, including supporting health and wellness, and we have focused on its unique properties. Yuzu fruit extract is said to contain components that are closely related to ceramides, helping to strengthen the skin’s barrier function and promote well-hydrated, healthy-looking skin.
Artichoke Leaf Extract
A natural plant extract widely loved by many Japanese women. It is known for helping to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, blackheads, and skin sagging by addressing their underlying causes.
Clay
In Japan, the beauty benefits of natural clay have been appreciated since ancient times. Our Mineral Clay Foam is formulated with this historically valued natural clay. Sourced from the seabed of Japan and formed over millions of years, it is rich in minerals. It effectively absorbs and removes impurities while helping to maintain the skin’s natural moisture.
Proprietary Ceramide Formula
Using advanced proprietary technology, we have made it possible to deliver ceramides deep into the skin while preserving the lamellar structure, which allows ceramides to fully express their natural function. While many ceramide serums exist, maintaining the lamellar structure during delivery into the deeper layers of the skin is extremely difficult. Our Boost Serum encapsulates ceramides in a specialized capsule, enabling them to reach the skin in a fresh state without disrupting the lamellar structure.
Olive Fruit Oil
An ingredient highly compatible with human skin, it helps prevent moisture loss from the stratum corneum while softening the skin. As a result, it is believed to help reduce roughness in the skin’s texture and the appearance of fine lines.
Rosa Canina Fruit Oil
An ingredient highly compatible with human skin, it helps prevent moisture loss from the stratum corneum while softening the skin. It also helps maintain skin hydration and is thought to help address signs of aging.
Jojoba Seed Oil
With a structure similar to human sebum, this ingredient blends well with the skin. It forms a thin protective layer on the surface of the skin, helping to prevent moisture loss.
APPS
One of the vitamin C derivatives widely loved by many Japanese women, it helps improve the appearance of fine lines around the eyes and dullness. With high penetration ability compared to conventional vitamin C derivatives, it supports collagen production and helps improve skin elasticity and firmness.
Houttuynia Cordata Extract
Houttuynia cordata has long been used in Japan both as a herbal tea and as a natural ingredient for beauty care. This plant-based extract is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to help remove oxidized sebum, supporting clearer and healthier-looking skin.
Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate
A highly moisturizing ingredient often used in premium Japanese skincare. By introducing an acetyl group to hydrophilic hyaluronic acid, it enhances moisture retention in the stratum corneum to approximately twice that of conventional hyaluronic acid. In addition, its low molecular size allows it to blend smoothly with the skin.
